About the position

The Human Resources Manager as a member of our dynamic and experienced HR Team, the Human Resources Manager will work onsite at one of our manufacturing plant locations and be responsible for overseeing all human resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations, payroll, coaching, training, performance management, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR management within a manufacturing environment and possess excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, interviewing, and onboarding of new employee owners.
  • Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee owner concerns, resolving conflicts in a positive and proactive manner, and promoting open communication.
  • Ensure accurate and timely weekly payroll processing & reporting for local non-exempt employees in accordance with Company policies.
  • Manage and oversee performance appraisal systems.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate employee owner and management development programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
  • Administer, coordinate and communicate Company compensation and benefits programs including leave management and Workers Compensation.
  • Collaborate with the safety team to promote a safe working environment.
  • Manage, implement, and communicate updated HR policies and procedures.
  • Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives to boost morale and retention.
  • Maintain a high degree of integrity and sensitivity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Knowledge and understanding of all local/state/federal laws required for assigned states/locations.
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English) required.
  • 5+ years of proven experience as a Human Resources Manager, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Hands on experience with demonstrated capability across various HR fundamentals including recruitment and selection, employee relations, employee engagement, and team building.
  • Ability to work collaboratively at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately write procedures, policies, documentation, reports.
  • Must be able to comfortably present information in front of large groups and communicate effectively to all levels of the organization.
  • High level of proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook, and HRIS/payroll processing.
  • Strong organizational skills; with attention to detail and follow-through.

  • PHR/SPHR SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
