About the position

As the Human Resources Manager at our Nashville, AR facility, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and addressing the HR needs of our continuous process manufacturing operation. Your primary focus will be on the development, implementation, and follow-through of company initiatives that support our workforce. You will conduct strategic workforce planning, organizational assessments, and succession planning in collaboration with the leadership steering committee. This involves identifying both internal and external resources to bridge any gaps in skills and capabilities necessary for the effective operation of the plant. You will also ensure compliance with training traceability requirements and facilitate various developmental and compliance training programs. In addition to workforce planning, you will be responsible for fostering a positive working environment and employee engagement through effective people development and employee relations strategies. This includes educating leaders on company policies and guidelines, conducting round tables and check-ins to gauge employee relations, and managing risk mitigation related to employee relations, wage and hour issues, and worker's compensation. You will oversee performance management systems, coach plant leaders through employee relations issues, and ensure compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act and internal reporting controls. Your role will also encompass managing wage and benefits administration, including conducting local surveys, competitive analysis, and job banding. You will oversee new hire onboarding and ensure consistent application of policies and procedures across federal, state, local, and company standards. Collaborating with the leadership team, you will oversee communication processes within the plant and lead the development of HR and training initiatives. Additionally, you will coordinate with various stakeholders to manage business risks associated with workplace and labor relations. In the recruiting domain, you will partner with plant leadership to forecast staffing needs and oversee recruiting activities, including candidate vetting and site interview processes. You will actively collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team throughout the end-to-end recruiting process and develop plans to enhance employee engagement and culture within the plant. Lastly, you will support safety and health programs by coordinating necessary training and assisting departments with regulatory compliance and inspections.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, support, and develop direct and indirect reports.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of company and government reporting requirements.
  • Conduct annual internal controls audit for HR.
  • Coordinate with BU HR Director and compliance teams regarding workplace risks.
  • Support benefit administration and educate employees on offerings.
  • Partner with Plant Leadership to forecast staffing needs and oversee recruiting activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in HR Management, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of HR Manager experience required.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification highly desired.
  • High level of problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
  • Results-oriented and self-driven with high engagement.
  • HRIS experience is required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
