About the position

The Human Resources (HR) Leader at Chick-fil-A Supply LLC will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of the human resources team at the new Distribution Center (DC) located in Weston, FL. Reporting directly to the Regional Human Resource Leader, this individual will be responsible for managing a workforce that distributes millions of cases of inventory annually to Chick-fil-A Operators throughout the southwest. The HR Leader will collaborate closely with Chick-fil-A Supply Talent leadership and other distribution centers to drive the talent strategy at the DC, ensuring that the workforce is equipped to meet operational demands. In this role, the HR Leader will manage reward and benefit systems that align with broader organizational goals, focusing on the engagement and development of the workforce. This position presents a unique challenge as it involves participating in the establishment of a brand-new DC and refining a new facility implementation playbook to assist in future facility setups. The HR Leader will embody Chick-fil-A's corporate purpose and support its vision and strategy, fostering a culture that emphasizes care, safety, and excellence. Chick-fil-A Supply, a subsidiary of Chick-fil-A, Inc., is dedicated to providing innovative distribution services tailored to the needs of Chick-fil-A restaurants. The HR Leader will ensure that the distribution center operates smoothly and efficiently, contributing to a seamless delivery experience that reflects Chick-fil-A's culture of care.

Responsibilities

  • Support team leaders and site leadership by providing guidance on performance management and problem-solving.
  • Execute recruitment and retention initiatives that align with the broader business goals of the DC.
  • Coordinate with the legal team at CFA Inc. to ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws.
  • Implement and oversee performance review and incentive programs within the DC.
  • Achieve target Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to attrition, employee engagement, and safety.
  • Drive employee engagement across all departments of the DC.
  • Support the Chick-fil-A vision and strategy by fostering a culture that aligns with Chick-fil-A Supply values.
  • Participate in interview events, training/onboarding, and provide temporary talent support as needed.
  • Provide employee relations support to all distribution center staff.
  • Maintain a positive, service-focused mindset and demonstrate the ability to value relationships and results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in business administration, organizational development, human resources, or a relevant field.
  • 7 years of HR experience, preferably in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of general HR policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Ability to build relationships and influence others across multiple operations.
  • Excellent business communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with investigations, including accidents and harassment allegations.
  • Experience recruiting and developing a strong, diverse team.
  • Ability to lead through change management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Nice-to-haves

  • 7-10 years of HR experience in a distribution environment.
  • Active PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, or similar certification.
  • Excellent knowledge of employment law and governmental requirements related to HR.
  • Working knowledge of logistics, warehousing, and IT systems.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and ownership of HR KPIs; using data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Experience leading in distribution center startup and food service distribution.
