About the position

HR Managers coach, support, and advise People Managers across North America, aiming to develop and enhance the quality of people management throughout the colleague lifecycle. The role has a direct and positive impact on the quality of the colleague experience across the company. Under the guidance of the Lead HR Manager, the HR Manager is aligned to a specific group of People Managers from various businesses and functions, providing consistent high-quality support. The HR Manager will be key to the deployment and adoption of new processes or initiatives aimed at People Managers, and will provide valuable insights to the Centers of Expertise to inform the development and prioritization of initiatives, programs, and projects designed for colleagues and/or People Managers. Additionally, the HR Manager will help coordinate projects including mergers and acquisitions and other critical People Function projects across the Enterprise.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and support to People Managers across the full range of HR activities, including colleague performance management, skills and competence development, and learning.
  • Support the implementation of colleague training or mentoring programs and monitor compliance where required.
  • Handle employee relations matters including investigations, performance improvement documentation and processes, disciplinary actions, grievances, etc.
  • Engage with the Employee Relations COE for advice and support on complex issues.
  • Support communications, change management, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Assist with compensation, benefits, and total rewards, especially during the year-end process.
  • Coordinate with the workforce administration team for return-to-work accommodations and logistics.
  • Promote inclusion and diversity awareness and considerations.
  • Assist with career development including succession planning and internal mobility.
  • Coordinate the rollout and delivery of HR programs in-region and contribute to process improvements.
  • Manage specific ongoing and ad-hoc HR projects within a Business or across the enterprise.
  • Support organizational restructuring activities, including consultations with colleagues about changes affecting roles or terms of employment.
  • Ensure regulatory and statutory obligations are met locally, including statutory and/or regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Oversee delivery of all mobility activity in coordination with the Global Mobility COE and liaise with colleagues and mobility vendors to ensure successful relocations.
  • Consult with People Partners and COEs to determine best practices, continuously improving delivery methods, and considering regional or country-specific nuances.
  • Support peers and less experienced HR Managers to ensure consistent and high-quality service across all locations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 4+ years’ relevant experience in HR
  • Able to operate without supervision in most situations
  • Able to judge when guidance is required for complex situations
  • Proven project management experience
