About the position

The Human Resources Manager at Ruckus Recreational is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources management and office administration at the Capitol Hill location. This role focuses on creating a positive work environment, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations, and supporting daily operations to help team members succeed.

Responsibilities

• Lead recruitment process including posting jobs, screening candidates, conducting interviews, and making hiring decisions
• Implement comprehensive onboarding programs for new employees
• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure all required documentation is properly filed
• Monitor and manage staff scheduling to ensure optimal coverage
• Oversee time tracking and attendance management
• Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations
• Handle employee relations matters professionally and confidentially
• Manage internal staff communications and announcements
• Coordinate supply ordering and inventory management
• Maintain a clean and organized office environment
• Manage online menu to ensure accuracy
• Support general administrative needs as they arise
• Occasionally provide break coverage or full shift coverage when needed

Requirements

• 2+ years of HR or office admin experience, preferably in a retail or customer service environment
• Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Superior communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proficiency with HR software and Microsoft Office Suite

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
• Experience with scheduling software and employee management systems
• Previous experience in a retail management role
