About the position

The Human Resources Officer II/I for the Teacher Reclassification Unit is responsible for developing, administering, and coordinating personnel employment programs for educational staff, including teachers, counselors, and librarians. This role involves overseeing certification and classification processes, supervising subordinates, and providing technical assistance on personnel matters to various stakeholders. The position requires a strong background in human resource management, particularly within an educational context, and aims to ensure effective personnel resource management in alignment with departmental needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, administers, and coordinates personnel employment programs for teachers, counselors, and librarians.
  • Supervises, develops, and supports subordinates, providing guidance and training as necessary.
  • Conducts evaluations and conferences with subordinates on a regular basis.
  • Develops and interprets regulations, procedures, and guidelines aligned with educational policies and statutes.
  • Acts as a resource person for personnel matters, assisting leadership in presentations and information dissemination.
  • Conducts inservice training and provides technical assistance to management and educational officers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration with specialization in human resource management or management with coursework in personnel administration and industrial relations.
  • Four years of responsible professional work experience in specialized areas of human resource management, with one year in an educational program or agency.
  • Knowledge of personnel administration, leadership dynamics, organizational change, labor problems, and relevant laws and regulations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in business administration or related field.
  • Experience in educational settings or with educational personnel management.
