About the position

The HR Onboarding Assistant (Seasonal) position at Cobalt 27 LLC is designed for individuals looking to gain practical experience in human resources, particularly in the onboarding process. This part-time role, lasting 2-3 months, involves supporting the HR team during a busy period by assisting with various onboarding tasks and ensuring new hires have a smooth transition into the company.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation and organization of onboarding materials (offer letters, contracts, employee handbooks, etc.).
  • Coordinate and schedule new hire orientation sessions and training programs.
  • Support the HR Manager in managing employee paperwork and updating employee records.
  • Help facilitate the completion of I-9 forms and other compliance-related documentation.
  • Serve as a point of contact for new hires, answering questions and providing guidance during the onboarding process.
  • Participate in maintaining accurate and up-to-date HR databases and personnel files.
  • Assist with employee engagement activities during onboarding to foster a positive work environment.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as required to support the HR team.

Requirements

  • Recent graduate in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in gaining experience in HR, particularly in onboarding and employee relations.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
