About the position

The Human Resources Onboarding Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring a positive onboarding experience for new hires at PSSI. This position is responsible for managing the onboarding process from offer acceptance to the first day of work, ensuring compliance with federal and state guidelines while creating a welcoming environment for new team members. The coordinator will also track onboarding data, facilitate communication between new hires and hiring personnel, and continuously seek to improve the onboarding experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the entire onboarding process for new hires.
  • Audit onboarding documentation for completeness and compliance with guidelines.
  • Evaluate candidate eligibility for hire through background checks and E-Verify.
  • Facilitate calls and prepare packages for new plant start-ups.
  • Track and manage new hire data in HRIS, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Regularly update and maintain onboarding documentation to align with company policies.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the onboarding experience based on feedback.
  • Create, manage, run, and distribute reports on onboarding progress and KPIs.
  • Coach cross-functional partners on PSSI policies and procedures around hiring.
  • Identify and communicate trends and solutions to cross-functional partners.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an HR or office administrative position, preferably in onboarding.
  • Proven organizational and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated professional communication skills (oral and written).
  • Efficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe products, and HRIS systems.
  • Ability to adhere to PSSI confidentiality policies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in business with human resource emphasis or relevant work experience.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) skills for written and verbal translations.
  • Initiative-taker with the ability to work as a team and independently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a large workload.
  • Previous experience in onboarding or human resources in a high-growth environment.
