About the position

The Human Resources Onboarding Specialist plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive HR support to managers and employees, particularly in the areas of onboarding, talent acquisition, and compliance with HR policies. This position is responsible for facilitating the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition from offer acceptance to employment, and supporting recruitment efforts for physicians and providers. The specialist will also assist in resolving HR-related inquiries and maintaining compliance with various HR processes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide human resources support and guidance to managers and employees in resolving general employment matters.
  • Assist employees in understanding human resources policies and programs, and in resolving employment and work-related questions or issues.
  • Resolve manager and employee questions or concerns related to the HRIS system in partnership with the HRIS team.
  • Ensure compliance with the leave process, tuition reimbursement, and policy guidelines in collaboration with benefits and HRBP.
  • Coach leaders and employees on appropriate processes and utilization of available resources.
  • Act as the point of contact for new hires and hiring leaders regarding pre-employment screening and onboarding.
  • Initiate and track results for pre-employment drug and background screenings and credentialing for new hires.
  • Collect required educational, license, and certification documents from new hires.
  • Facilitate New Employee Orientation and New Physician Orientation, including scheduling and managing attendees.
  • Initiate and execute the pre-employment and onboarding process for new physicians and providers.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure physicians and providers are entered into the system and paid appropriately.
  • Process all sign-on, relocation, loan repayment, and catalyst bonus payments for new hires.
  • Coordinate recruitment-related travel arrangements and maintain reimbursements and expense reports for the department.
  • Assist with the execution of Physician Recruitment activities, including interviews and job fairs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 2 years of experience working within human resources required.
