About the position

The Human Resources Representative / Payroll Coordinator plays a vital role in the leadership team of a healthcare facility, focusing on payroll processing, onboarding new staff, managing employee records, and recruitment. This entry-level position emphasizes compassion and connection with residents, contributing to a supportive and caring environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the bi-weekly payroll process, including generating and editing daily punch detail reports.
• Enter special shift bonuses, sick, vacation, and holiday hours; process changes for new hires or separations.
• Answer general benefit and policy questions.
• Enter and train new employees into the payroll and time clock system.
• Maintain I-9 forms and other required State and Federal documents.
• Maintain employee personnel files and conduct quarterly audits for compliance.
• Post hourly positions in ATS, schedule interviews, and onboard new employees.
• Complete reference checks, background checks, and verify licenses for healthcare providers.
• Coordinate Worker's Comp and Unemployment filings with vendors.

Requirements

• Associates or Bachelor Degree or Technical Degree in HR is preferred.
• Prior experience working in a skilled nursing or healthcare facility is highly desired.
• Experience with payroll processing is a must.
• Prior experience with entry-level HR administrative duties, including onboarding paperwork and state license regulations.

Nice-to-haves

• SHRM Certifications will be considered in lieu of education.
