About the position

The Human Resources/Payroll Manager at Park View Rehab Center plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of HR and payroll functions within our nursing home facility. This position is dedicated to providing a spectrum of senior living solutions and is committed to delivering the best options for our residents. The HR/Payroll Manager will be responsible for processing payroll, preparing bi-weekly payroll, updating schedules in the time clock system, and reviewing and tracking hours worked. Additionally, the manager will monitor overtime and ensure compliance with company and legal pay rules and guidelines. In this role, the HR/Payroll Manager will also plan and conduct new employee orientations to foster a positive attitude toward company goals. They will advise management on appropriate resolutions for employee relations issues and respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs. The manager will administer new hire orientation, interview, hire, and train employees, as well as plan and assign performance appraisals, rewarding and disciplining employees, and addressing complaints and resolving problems. Furthermore, the HR/Payroll Manager will monitor employee counseling, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans, advising management on hiring decisions, equal employment opportunity, compensation, benefits, and health/safety issues. They will prepare employee personnel files to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, complete reference checks, criminal background checks, and professional license checks. The HR/Payroll Manager will also serve as a liaison with Corporate HR, ensuring that all HR functions align with corporate policies and standards.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 1 year experience leading human resource or operations department within Skilled Nursing.
  • Payroll experience.
  • HR responsibility experience.
  • Knowledge of employment laws.
  • Knowledge of nursing staffing such as OnShift.
