About the position

The Human Resources/Payroll Specialist is responsible for managing all aspects of payroll, human resources, and accounting functions within the organization. This role ensures compliance with federal and state employment laws, maintains accurate financial data, and supports the overall HR operations of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all aspects of payroll processing and management.
  • Maintain the corporation's financial data and ensure accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment and benefits laws.
  • Manage HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
  • Assist with accounting tasks and maintain financial records.
  • Utilize computer programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for reporting and documentation.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Prior experience in HR, Payroll, and Accounting is required.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment and benefits laws, payroll and accounting requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with CenterPoint Accounting Software is a plus.
  • SHRM, FPC, or CPP certifications are a plus.
