In this role, you will ensure an exceptional associate and future associate experience at Fortune Brands Innovations (FBIN). You will be a key member of the HR Operations team ensuring associates have the information they need and that the back-office tasks of HR operate smoothly - all the while, growing your own skills to further your HR career. You will be the primary contact for a specific group of FBIN associates and provide secondary support for other team members when they are unavailable. In addition, you'll have the ability to specialize in certain responsibilities that meet your unique skills & career desires. This role prepares you for further growth in your HR career. The foundational skills you'll learn in this role will prepare you for a future role in multiple areas of HR - such as Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Total Rewards, HR Technology, Employee Relations, HR Operations, Business Partner, and more. You'll be exposed to multiple areas of HR through day-to-day responsibilities and special projects and multiple areas of our business.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for internal & external customers, providing exceptional customer service in addressing day-to-day questions and concerns in person, over the phone, and online.
  • Support managers & associates to effectively use our direct access tools like Front Door and Workday.
  • Support associates & managers with their questions and provide tracking and/or reminders during key HR processes - such as performance management, engagement surveys, HR Technology, and more.
  • Support HR team with special projects across any HR specialty.
  • Complete timely & accurate HR data entry for position, supervisory, and salary changes, as well as ensuring system mapping is correct in Workday.
  • Conduct data integrity audits to ensure our HR Technology and Payroll teams have accurate and complete information, including entity transfers.
  • Maintain compliant physical and/or electronic personnel files.
  • Administer the offboarding process - including completing the termination checklist following standard operating procedures and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Monitor implementation of HR policies, including sign-offs.
  • Ensure organizational charts are up-to-date for our organization.
  • Submit HR-related invoicing from vendors for timely payment and ensure HR contracts for vendors are maintained in our contract-tracking platform.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in HR, HR Operations, or related field - including internships.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, both verbal and written, for all internal & external customers.
  • Highly proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & cloud-based filesharing platforms - Box.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
  • Ability to meet deadlines as set by internal Service Levels.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associate's Degree in HR or related field.
  • Experience with our HR Technology platforms - SmartRecruiters, Workday, UKGPro, Kronos Dimensions.
