About the position

Swire Coca-Cola is seeking a Human Resources Process Improvement Specialist to join our team in Draper, UT. This role is integral to our Human Resources Operational Excellence initiative, which aims to enhance efficiency within the HR department through various strategies such as standardization, simplification, automation, and elimination of unnecessary processes. The ideal candidate will take a hands-on approach to project leadership, working closely with key stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of HR initiatives that drive operational excellence. In this position, you will be responsible for supporting project initiation by identifying opportunities for improvement and conceptualizing success. You will participate in and may facilitate project kick-off meetings, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned from the outset. Under the guidance of the HR Efficiency and Effectiveness Manager, you will develop comprehensive project plans that outline the scope, budget, resources, objectives, milestones, timelines, and governance protocols necessary for the success of HR initiatives. As the project progresses, you will drive execution to completion, managing the project according to the established plan while identifying and overcoming any roadblocks that may arise. Maintaining clear and consistent communication with all project stakeholders is crucial, as you will provide regular updates on project status and risks. You will also facilitate problem-solving activities to identify root causes and test solutions that yield measurable results. Collaboration with team members and subject-matter experts will be essential to drive the success of the initiatives. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing vendor partners as required and identifying potential risks to project success, quality, and budget. Developing mitigation strategies to contain risks will be a key part of your role, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Supports efforts to identify opportunities and conceptualize success for HR initiatives.
  • Participates in and may facilitate project kick-off meetings.
  • Develops comprehensive project plans for HR initiatives under guidance from the HR Efficiency and Effectiveness Manager.
  • Drives project execution to completion by managing to plan and overcoming roadblocks.
  • Maintains stakeholder alignment throughout the project and escalates decision-making as needed.
  • Provides regular updates on project status and risks to all stakeholders.
  • Facilitates problem-solving activities to identify root causes and test solutions.
  • Establishes partnerships and consults with team members to drive collaboration throughout the project.
  • Manages vendor partners as required for project success.
  • Identifies potential risks to success, quality, and budget, and develops mitigation strategies.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with program/project management involving process analysis and process improvement.
  • Experience with Human Resources projects is preferred.
  • Demonstrated successful application of project management methodology and tools with a track record of quantifiable results.
  • Strong preference for PMP or Agile certifications.
  • Demonstrated technological acuity; ability to gather data, metrics, and performance trends from disparate sources and analyze it for improvement solutions.
  • Knowledge of HR practices, policies, and regulations.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years program/project management experience, involving process analysis and process improvement.
  • 1+ years experience with Human Resources projects.
