About the position

Hillerich & Bradsby Co. is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Human Resources Recruiter / Generalist to join our dynamic HR team. As a key member of the organization, the Human Resources Generalist will play a vital role in supporting the recruitment, training, and development of our employees. This role requires a strong understanding of employment labor law and the ability to provide exceptional HR services to our team. The Human Resources Recruiter/Generalist position works closely with the Director of Human Resources to design and implement the overall recruiting strategy for the organization. This position manages the entire life-cycle recruitment process to identify the top talent for available positions within the various Hillerich and Bradsby Co. business units and departments. Additionally, this position participates in compensation analysis, professional development analysis, and benefits administration and provides payroll processing backup support in addition to other Generalist duties assigned. The essential functions of this role include building and maintaining relationships within H&B's divisions to understand the roles and talent needs, collaborating with the Director of HR and division leadership to develop and maintain workforce plans, creating and updating organizational job descriptions, and managing innovative and cost-effective recruiting methods. The Human Resources Recruiter / Generalist will also ensure timely and effective communication with hiring managers, applicants, and candidates throughout the recruitment process, manage the onboarding program for new hires, and support various aspects of organizational compensation and benefits administration. This position requires knowledge of all federal and state regulations to ensure compliance with federal and state agencies, as well as participation in department and employee meetings and contributions to company communications as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships within H&B's divisions to understand roles and talent needs.
  • Collaborate with the Director of HR and division leadership to develop and maintain workforce plans.
  • Create and update organizational job descriptions and recruitment profile sheets.
  • Manage innovative and cost-effective recruiting methods to attract excellent candidates.
  • Review resumes and evaluate applicants to identify potential candidates.
  • Utilize H&B's Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and conduct interviews.
  • Schedule and facilitate final selection interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Manage the onboarding program for new hires and ensure an excellent new employee experience.
  • Perform new employee orientations covering policies, benefits, and facility introductions.
  • Support various aspects of organizational compensation and benefits administration.
  • Participate in department and employee meetings and contribute to company communications.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in human resources or equivalent education and work experience is required.
  • Two-plus years of HR Generalist experience is required.
  • SHRM certification, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.
  • Recruiting experience is preferred.
  • Payroll processing experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary.
  • Previous experience working with HRIS is required.
  • Experience with confidential information and maintaining confidentiality is essential.
  • Must be highly organized, able to manage multiple tasks, and meet all deadlines.
  • Must be a current Kentucky notary public or can obtain a Kentucky notary public license.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Paylocity is a plus.
  • Prior Benefit administration experience preferred.
