About the position

We are seeking a versatile and proactive Recruiter to join our team at T.M. Cobb, Co./Haley Brothers, Inc. This role combines traditional recruiting responsibilities with a focus on both full-time and temporary employee recruitment. The ideal candidate will excel in sourcing and attracting top talent, conducting thorough interviews, and managing the end-to-end onboarding process. Additionally, this Recruiter will collaborate with staffing agencies, oversee new hire orientation, and play a pivotal role in enhancing employee satisfaction and retention. This position also involves community engagement to build a robust pipeline of qualified candidates. Our manufacturing company operates five manufacturing plants, four distribution warehouses, and five sales offices. Responsibilities

  • Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process.
  • Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria to build a pipeline of viable candidates.
  • Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
  • Assists with job posting and advertisement processes.
  • Screens applications and selects qualified candidates.
  • Schedules interviews; oversees the preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
  • Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
  • Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with local trade schools, Junior Colleges, and University Career Development Centers.
  • Builds and maintains an internship program (2024 Initiative).
  • Conduct new hire orientation sessions and ensure new employees are integrated smoothly into the organization.
  • Implement initiatives to enhance employee satisfaction and retention, including conducting stay interviews and recommending improvements.
  • Engage actively in the community to build a pipeline of qualified candidates and promote the organization's employer brand.
  • Track recruitment metrics and provide regular reporting on recruitment activities and outcomes.
  • Stay current on recruiting trends and best practices to continuously improve recruitment strategies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
  • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365, Teams, One-Drive, and Sharepoint or related software.
  • Project and team management/leadership skills and experience.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with associates.
  • Effective planning and priority setting.
  • Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills and a thorough knowledge of plan designs.
  • Ability to understand, evaluate and make judgments on proposals (RFPs).
  • Paycom onboarding proficiency preferred.
  • Fluently bilingual in Spanish preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience, required.
  • At least five years of managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process is highly preferred.
  • SHRMs Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential is a plus.
