About the position

As a Human Resources Representative at C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative and operational HR support to our warehouse, business unit, or function. This position requires a hands-on approach and collaboration with the Human Resources Business Partner to achieve business results. Your responsibilities will include supporting the execution of our Performance Management strategy, fostering a positive experience for new employees, and driving initiatives that enhance employee engagement. You will work closely with Talent Acquisition partners to ensure that C&S remains an employer of choice for potential candidates. In this role, you will prepare for and facilitate new hire orientation, ensuring that new employees are welcomed and informed about their roles and the company culture. You will maintain employee files and ensure compliance with all laws and regulations regarding work eligibility, including I-9 compliance and labor postings. Additionally, you will assist with HR programs that align with the business objectives and key performance priorities of the unit. Your support will extend to key HR initiatives such as talent management, training, succession planning, workforce planning, performance management, and salary reviews. You will coordinate HR and company initiatives that enhance engagement, performance, and retention, which may include company surveys, community events, and recognition programs. Furthermore, you will assist HR Business Partners with employee relations investigations, ensuring that all matters are handled with discretion and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare for and facilitate new hire orientation.
  • Maintain employee files and ensure compliance with all laws and regulations regarding work eligibility (I-9 compliance, labor postings, etc).
  • Assist with HR programs that support the business objectives and key performance priorities of the business unit.
  • Support key HR initiatives including talent management, training, succession planning, workforce planning, performance management, and salary reviews.
  • Coordinate HR and Company initiatives that enhance engagement, performance, and retention (e.g., company surveys, community events, recognition).
  • Assist HRBPs with employee relations investigations.

Requirements

  • 0-2 years of Human Resources experience preferred.
  • Associate Degree in General Studies or related field.

Nice-to-haves

  • Working knowledge of Human Resources related laws and regulations.
  • Strong internal and external customer service focus.
  • Effective communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively.
  • Ability to identify and handle priority and sensitive issues with discretion, and a commitment to confidentiality.
