About the position

The Human Resources Representative at Daikin Applied plays a crucial role in managing various HR functions, including recruitment, employee counseling, benefits administration, and compliance with legal requirements. Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations in HR areas.
• Counsel employees regarding HR policies and procedures related to transfers, promotions, pay, benefits, and employment conditions.
• Administer the recruitment process, including maintaining recruitment files, screening resumes, scheduling and conducting interviews, and coordinating background checks.
• Prepare offer letters and recruitment packets for candidates and conduct new hire orientations.
• Process status changes and update the HRIS system for hires, terminations, job changes, and benefit changes.
• Administer Workers' Compensation programs, including preparing reports of injury and maintaining accident records for OSHA reporting.
• Monitor existing Workers' Compensation claims and coordinate the Return to Work program.
• Administer benefit programs such as life, health, dental, disability insurances, and 401(k) plans.
• Maintain HR files, including employee files, medical/workers compensation files, and training records.
• Administer union labor agreements and participate in Safety Committees and union grievance meetings.
• Prepare reports as requested and respond to inquiries regarding benefits and HR policies.
• Monitor attendance and prepare employee separation notices, conducting exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.

Requirements

• Associates degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or equivalent degree.
• 3+ years of related experience and/or training.
