The City of Lynwood is seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to fill the position of Human Resources & Risk Analyst or Human Resources & Risk Specialist within the Human Resources Department. This role is essential in supporting the City’s Human Resource and Risk Management programs, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations while fostering a positive work environment. The selected candidate will work under the general supervision of the Senior HR Analyst and the Director of Human Resources, engaging in a variety of professional and analytical activities that contribute to the effective management of human resources and risk management functions. The Human Resources & Risk Analyst position is designed for individuals who are at the entry to journey level in the professional human resource management series. The incumbent will be responsible for performing professional assignments in various Human Resource and Risk program areas while gaining knowledge of City policies, procedures, and legal requirements. As they gain experience, they will be expected to carry out their responsibilities with a significant degree of independence, demonstrating initiative, creativity, and sound professional judgment. On the other hand, the Human Resources & Risk Specialist role involves performing general and moderately complex technical and administrative support for the City’s human resources and risk management programs. This position requires a broader understanding of human resources responsibilities and specialized knowledge of employment practices and procedures.
