The Human Resources Specialist V position at the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) is a senior-level role that reports directly to the HR Manager. This position is responsible for providing comprehensive human resources management support to the HR Office, engaging in highly complex HR tasks that require a deep understanding of employee relations and HR policies. The specialist will offer guidance, advice, and consultation to employees, supervisors, and managers on various HR-related matters, ensuring that all actions align with established policies and procedures. In this role, the specialist will develop solutions to complex problems, participate in HR planning and policy-making, and assist in resolving employee-related issues. The position involves interpreting HR policies for both management and staff, developing and implementing training programs on employee relations, and attending management advisory meetings to address performance and behavior issues. The specialist will act as a strategic partner and subject matter expert in HR, providing technical support for various HR activities, including hiring processes, employee relations, and departmental communications. Additionally, the specialist will be involved in the development, review, and implementation of HR policies and procedures, conducting research and analysis to identify areas for improvement.
