About the position

The Human Resources Specialist at Vensure Employer Solutions plays a crucial role in managing HR-related matters, working closely with employees and managers to enhance workplace relationships and ensure compliance with legal requirements. This position requires independent judgment and decision-making to address complex employee relations issues and support HR initiatives effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with management at all levels to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity retention.
  • Identify legal and regulatory compliance concerns related to employee relations and partner with managers to conduct employee coaching, counseling, and termination analysis.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues and conduct thorough investigations.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, laws, and standards.
  • Process new hire paperwork, transfers/promotions, and terminations, updating PRISM accordingly.
  • Conduct and analyze compensation surveys and process performance reviews, salary increases, and disciplinary actions.
  • Process leaves of absence in compliance with FMLA, ADA, and applicable laws.
  • Assist with developing, implementing, and reviewing HR department initiatives, policies, and systems.
  • Conduct exit interviews and review positions for FLSA compliance.

Requirements

  • BA degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Minimum of three years of related Human Resources experience required.
  • 2+ years of experience in Leave of Absence and investigations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Human Resources best practices with emphasis on employee relations and related laws.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal effectiveness at all levels.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and ability to learn other applications as needed.

Nice-to-haves

  • Understanding of multi-state employment laws preferred.
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
  • Consulting experience and/or PEO experience preferred.
  • PRISM experience preferred.
