About the position

The position is for a senior Position Classification Specialist responsible for providing a full range of classification and management advisory services. The role involves independently researching and recommending new or modified Federal civilian position classification program guidance, ensuring compliance by lower standing specialists, and providing advisory services to solve complex problems in large activities. The specialist will participate in position reviews, oversee classification services for DLA HR Serviced activities, and review reorganization proposals involving significant numbers and types of positions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior Position Classification Specialist providing classification and management advisory services.
• Research and recommend new or modified Federal civilian position classification program guidance.
• Ensure compliance by lower standing specialists.
• Provide advisory services in solving difficult problems in servicing large activities.
• Participate in position reviews and special studies.
• Oversee and provide classification services for DLA HR Serviced activities.
• Review reorganization proposals involving significant numbers and types of positions.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Flexible tour of duty.
• Non-Critical Sensitive security requirements.
• Completion of a favorable suitability or fitness determination.
• Selective Service registration for males born after 12-31-59.
• One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level.
