About the position

Crown is searching for an accomplished and highly motivated HR Specialist with a focus on government contracting or government experience preferred. This position will report to the HR Manager and Director. The ideal candidate will possess strong HR and Recruiting experience combined with the desire and energy to work in a fast-paced, growth environment. The HR Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the overall recruitment strategy, assisting with full cycle hiring efforts, and leading new hire orientation and onboarding processes. Additionally, the role involves liaising with management on various HR programs, facilitating professional development and training activities, and assisting in the planning of compensation and benefits programs. Candidates selected may be subject to a government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the HR Manager to assist in the design and implementation of the overall recruitment strategy
  • Assist with full cycle hiring efforts, including screening resumes, scheduling candidates, interviewing, and extending offers
  • Lead new hire orientation and assist with the onboarding process
  • Liaison with the manager on HR programs including, but not limited to, disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; recognition
  • Help facilitate professional development, training, and certification activities for employees
  • Assist in the planning of open enrollment, new benefit trends, and end-of-year tasks
  • Work with the HR Manager to benchmark positions against market data to establish competitive compensation ranges
  • Stay current on the company's organization structure, personnel policy, and federal and state laws regarding employment practices
  • Assist with other HR functions and projects as requested by the HR Manager & Director

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field required
  • 4-7 years of HR experience
  • 2+ years of recruiting experience in R&D, Science, Aviation, or Emerging Technology is a plus
  • Demonstrated track record of service-centric outcomes that create value for employees and companies
  • Ability to create and continuously improve workflow, completion and effectiveness
  • Prior experience in HR operations and knowledge of best practices
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential is a plus
  • Excellent communication & organizational skills
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
