About the position

The Human Resources Specialist (Employee and Labor Relations) position at the U.S. Mint in Denver, CO, is responsible for managing the Employee and Labor Relations (E/LR) program for a diverse workforce. This role involves providing expert-level advice, serving as a principal management resource, and representing the agency in labor relations matters, including negotiations and arbitration proceedings.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert-level advice in the area of Employee and Labor Relations.
  • Serve as the policy-level specialist and principal management resource in Federal Labor Relations Authority (FLRA) and arbitration proceedings.
  • Research pertinent laws, regulations, and case law; develop theory of defense/strategy based on professional judgment and consultations with supervisor.

Requirements

  • One year of specialized experience at the GS-12 level in the Federal service, providing advice and guidance to senior management on Employee and Labor Relations matters.
  • Experience in a manufacturing and production or similar environment affecting Wage Grade and General Schedule employees.
