As a Human Resources Specialist (Employee Benefits) in the FECA Division of COMPACFLT HRO NORTHWEST, you will play a crucial role in administering the Federal Employees' Compensation Act (FECA) Program. Your primary responsibility will be to provide expert advice to employees and supervisors regarding workers' compensation claims resulting from injuries and diseases. This position requires you to conduct thorough case management for both current and former employees who are on the Office of Workers' Compensation Programs (OWCP) periodic rolls. You will be expected to navigate complex regulations and ensure compliance with federal guidelines while assisting employees in understanding their rights and benefits under the FECA program. In this role, you will also be responsible for gathering and analyzing data related to compensation claims, which will involve communicating effectively with various stakeholders, including employees, supervisors, and external agencies. You will need to maintain accurate records and documentation to support claims processing and ensure timely responses to inquiries. Your expertise will be vital in helping employees navigate the often challenging landscape of workers' compensation, providing them with the necessary support and guidance throughout the claims process.
