About the position

The Human Resources Specialist (HR Development) position at the Department of the Treasury's Office of Chief Counsel focuses on planning, developing, administering, and evaluating training programs for legal and management staff. This role is essential in enhancing employee efficiency and engagement through high-quality training and effective communication. The specialist will coordinate training logistics, develop content, manage learning systems, and collaborate with external vendors to ensure the delivery of impactful training resources.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all aspects of training programs and events, including scheduling, materials preparation, venue selection, and audiovisual arrangements.
  • Manage participant registration and communication for training programs.
  • Apply advanced Adult Learning principles to administer and manage legal-based training programs.
  • Advise instructor cadres on project planning, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of training courses.
  • Provide technical support for Learning Management Systems, ensuring user records are updated and course content is maintained.
  • Collaborate with external providers to negotiate service scopes and manage relationships for quality training resources.

Requirements

  • Specialized experience in supporting operational and administrative aspects of adult training and educational delivery.
  • Experience in planning, coordinating, facilitating, and evaluating complex educational programs.
  • Proficiency in training facility set-up, including audiovisual components.
  • Ability to update and adapt courses to meet client needs and improve processes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Learning Management Systems administration.
  • Knowledge of legal training requirements and compliance standards.
