About the position

Eastern Florida State College is currently seeking applications for the full-time position of Human Resources Specialist II on the Cocoa Campus in Cocoa, Florida. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing and monitoring all Full-time and Part-time Staff employee information and files, as well as all Title IV Work Study Student employee files, in accordance with college procedures and State & Federal Regulations. This role is crucial in ensuring that all employee records are maintained accurately and confidentially, adhering to the highest standards of efficiency and attention to detail. The Human Resources Specialist II will also be expected to demonstrate exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, and possess strong customer service abilities. The position requires the ability to multi-task effectively, manage various employee-related tasks, and maintain a high level of accuracy in all duties performed. The candidate must have a valid Florida Motor Vehicle Operator's license or, if unable to obtain one, a valid Florida ID. Additionally, the selected candidate will undergo fingerprinting as part of the hiring process, with the associated fee being non-refundable. The work environment is primarily office-based, requiring the ability to sit for extended periods and perform various physical tasks such as bending, stooping, climbing, and occasionally lifting up to 40 pounds. Responsibilities

  • Process and monitor all Full-time and Part-time Staff employee information and files.
  • Manage all Title IV Work Study Student employee files in accordance with college procedures and State & Federal Regulations.
  • Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of employee records.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communication to staff and students.
  • Multi-task effectively to manage various HR-related tasks.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited institution.
  • At least two years of office experience.
  • Knowledge and ability to perform duties on Microsoft Outlook and PC computer systems.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
  • Evidence of accuracy, attention to detail, efficiency, and confidentiality in past positions.
  • Valid Florida Motor Vehicle Operator's license or valid Florida ID.
