The Human Resources Specialist (Information Systems) position at the Department of Defense involves serving as a senior specialist within the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Human Resources (J1). Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, plan, and develop agency human resources processes.
  • Integrate programs and plans into current and projected personnel policies.
  • Represent DLA at conferences and meetings as a subject matter expert.
  • Provide guidance and direction to internal and external activities or contractors.
  • Advise leadership on results and recommend changes in strategic focus, policy, or procedure.
  • Perform complex assignments and manage day-to-day responsibilities for projects and teams.

Requirements

  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in federal service or related experience in the private sector.
  • Operational oversight of critical audit functions.
  • Expert research involving mission capabilities, process improvements, and audit requirements.
  • Professional recommendations to leadership regarding strategic focus, policy, or procedure.
