Sodexo has an opportunity for a Human Resources Specialist - Leave of Absence to join our team! This is a remote position, and candidates should reside in the Eastern or Central time zones. The primary focus of this role is to act as a Subject Matter Expert on the Leave of Absence (LOA), Worker's Compensation, and ADA processes and policies. The specialist will manage leaves of absence of varying types, ensuring that employees and managers are educated on the LOA, Worker's Compensation, and ADA interactive processes. This position serves as the primary contact for both employees and managers, facilitating effective communication across all levels of the organization to ensure understanding of the company's responsibilities during an employee's absence or accommodation. The Human Resources Specialist will be responsible for developing, tracking, and managing all documentation, notifications, correspondence, and administrative details related to employee leaves of absence. This includes maintaining detailed information in accordance with company processes, policies, and applicable Federal and State laws from the start to the finish of an employee's leave. The specialist will also communicate ideas and process improvements regarding current LOA policies and procedures, while identifying and addressing LOA-related questions, issues, and concerns from internal Sodexo customers. Additionally, the role requires diagnosing LOA situations and determining the appropriate escalation paths. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and decision-making skills, along with the ability to work independently and across multiple departments. They should be adaptable to change and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Building relationships and establishing credibility are essential, as is having a strong customer service orientation. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are necessary to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization.
