About the position

The Human Resources Specialist (Military) serves as a key member of an Army Reserve Brigade or equivalent unit, providing essential guidance and support in military personnel management. This role involves coordinating personnel activities, delivering training on policies, and ensuring compliance with regulations to enhance program efficiency and effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Human Resources Specialist in an Army Reserve Brigade or equivalent unit.
  • Provide guidance on military personnel management to subordinate elements.
  • Coordinate and execute military personnel management activities for the unit.
  • Conduct training and briefings on current and proposed policies for staff.
  • Establish criteria to monitor and evaluate program efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop innovative approaches to resolve complex personnel management situations.

Requirements

  • Active membership as a soldier in the U.S. Army Reserve (USAR) is required.
  • One year of specialized experience in interpreting military regulations and providing administrative guidance on unit requirements, or a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a relevant field, or a combination of education and experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with automated systems supporting military programs.
  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory guidance in military personnel management.
