About the position

YAI is seeking a Human Resources Specialist focused on onboarding, HRIS, and benefits. This role involves working closely with HR professionals to facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, providing support for Workday and benefits inquiries, and ensuring compliance with HR policies. The specialist will play a key role in enhancing the employee experience by managing recruitment efforts and maintaining effective communication between candidates and hiring managers.

Responsibilities

  • Process all new hire paperwork and communicate status to supervisors.
  • Participate in recruitment efforts and assist with onboarding.
  • Respond to general HR inquiries, audits, and requests.
  • Process background checks and maintain clearance databases.
  • Support sourcing, recruitment, and hiring of top talent.
  • Liaise between hiring managers and candidates to coordinate interviews.
  • Utilize job boards and social media to advertise open positions.
  • Organize and attend career fairs and recruiting events.
  • Manage pipeline activity and maintain data integrity via ATS (Workday).
  • Generate offer letters and facilitate communication between HR and Program Managers.
  • Troubleshoot and provide support for Workday to new hires and managers.
  • Complete assigned business processes in Workday and provide training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or similar preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of human resources or administration experience preferred.
  • 1 year of Workday ERP system experience preferred.
  • 1 year of ATS, HRIS, or ERP system experience required.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and multitask effectively.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with the I/DD field is preferred.
  • Ability to comprehend and apply relevant laws and regulations.
