About the position

The Human Resources Specialist - Organizational Development position is a full-time, direct hire opportunity within a healthcare system located in Janesville, WI. This role is specifically focused on organizational development and requires the specialist to travel as needed between various work locations in Rock, Walworth, and McHenry Counties in Wisconsin, as well as Winnebago County in Illinois. The position operates Monday through Friday and offers a competitive salary along with a comprehensive benefits package. In this role, the Organizational Development Specialist will conduct needs analysis for individual, team, and leader development requests from executives and department managers. The specialist will clarify performance and development objectives and provide targeted, learner-centric solutions that align with the strategic priorities and organizational outcomes of the healthcare system. The position involves designing and delivering customized, engaging, and results-oriented interventions, workshops, e-learning, and other learning experiences aimed at improving employee, leadership, and team performance. The specialist will also organize ongoing programs, including new partner and leader orientation, tuition reimbursement, culture assessments, and management skills training. A key aspect of the role is to coach and consult with leaders and high-potential employees, educating management on implementing talent management processes and initiatives. The specialist will assist in driving organization-wide talent development processes such as performance management and succession planning, and will develop strategies to foster a Culture of Excellence. Additionally, the role includes conducting assessments and surveys to meet the needs of individuals and work groups, collaborating with department leaders to develop intervention strategies, and managing projects in alignment with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct needs analysis of individual, team, and leader development requests from executives and department managers.
  • Design and deliver customized, engaging, results-oriented interventions, workshops, e-learning, and other learning experiences.
  • Organize ongoing programs including new partner and leader orientation, tuition reimbursement, culture assessments, and management skills training.
  • Coach, consult, and design talent management solutions for leaders and high-potentials.
  • Educate and coach management on implementing talent management processes and initiatives.
  • Assist in driving organization-wide talent development processes such as Performance Management and Succession Planning.
  • Develop and conduct assessments and surveys to meet individual, work group, or organization needs.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to develop team and large scale intervention strategies.
  • Evaluate and communicate results of intervention strategies.
  • Engage in and manage projects in collaboration with system leaders.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, or equivalent is required.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in human resource development, organizational effectiveness, and learning.
  • Knowledge of learning and organizational effectiveness theory and best practices.
  • Proven advanced experience in a consultant/facilitation role.
  • Demonstrated success presenting and communicating ideas to selected stakeholders and project management.
  • Ability to manage projects, create effective plans, and execute them.
  • Experience creating e-learning programs using related authoring software.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including listening and communication.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Effective organizational skills.

  • Certification as a trainer in Crucial Conversation preferred.
  • Certifications and skills in training and development preferred.
  • Certification in conducting personality assessments preferred.
