About the position

The Human Resources Specialist/Payroll at COPE Community Services, Inc. is responsible for managing all aspects of the payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate employee payments. This role also involves performing payroll-related functions and reporting, as well as addressing employee inquiries and concerns, contributing to a supportive HR environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the payroll process.
  • Ensure employees are paid on-time and accurately.
  • Perform payroll related functions and reporting.
  • Answer employee questions and address concerns.
  • Assist with general human resource functions.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED plus three (3) years of experience in Human Resources including experience with a web-based payroll system (preferably Paycom).
  • Associates degree in a related field plus one (1) year of experience in Human Resources including experience with a web-based payroll system (preferably Paycom).
  • Equivalent combination of certification, education, and experience sufficient to perform essential duties.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP).
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish).
