About the position

The People Ambassador role at ITT is essential for partnering with the business to develop and execute people initiatives, focusing on employee engagement, onboarding, and HR support for early career and internship programs. This position plays a critical role in enhancing the workplace culture and ensuring that employees feel valued and appreciated through various initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the new employee orientation and onboarding process, supporting managers and employees during the new hire process.
  • Serve as the HR Business Partner for early career and internship programs.
  • Champion the Rewards & Recognition initiative to ensure employees feel appreciated and valued.
  • Coordinate and implement the hiring process, working closely with hiring managers to identify needs and source candidates.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints or concerns and make recommendations for resolution.
  • Manage the leave of absence process, guiding employees on claims and coordinating with managers for planning.
  • Execute assigned HR projects, including merit reviews and compliance training.
  • Consult with managers on personnel-related issues, including coaching and performance improvement plans.
  • Manage exit and stay interview processes, identifying areas for follow-up and improvement.
  • Draft and communicate organizational announcements regarding HR services and business updates.

Requirements

  • 2 - 5+ years of increasing Human Resources experience, preferably in mid to large size manufacturing organizations.
  • Strong consultative skills and ability to partner with managers to understand needs and deliver solutions.
  • Experience in recruiting, employee development, employee relations, training, compensation, benefits, and performance management.
  • Track record of investigating and resolving employee relations issues.
  • Knowledge of employment laws including Federal and California Leave Laws.
