About the position

The Human Resources Specialist (Recruitment) position at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) is responsible for assisting the Chief of Talent Sourcing in managing recruitment activities nationwide. This temporary assignment, lasting up to one year, involves evaluating recruitment data, analyzing trends, and developing effective recruitment strategies to attract a diverse and highly qualified workforce. The role also includes establishing recruitment networks and providing recommendations on recruitment policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate recruitment data and analyze trends, costs, and program effectiveness.
  • Draft policies, procedures, and guidelines related to the recruitment program.
  • Provide recommendations on attracting, recruiting, and selecting a diverse and highly qualified workforce.
  • Design and develop recruitment training programs.
  • Monitor and update the recruiters' website to meet hiring goals.
  • Establish and maintain recruitment networks and alliances with various professional, educational, and employment communities.

Requirements

  • At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the CG-09 grade level in the Federal service, or a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or a combination of graduate education and specialized experience.
  • Experience in planning and carrying out recruitment activities, including implementing recruitment strategies and maintaining recruitment networks.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in developing and implementing recruitment strategies.
  • Knowledge of marketing strategies for recruitment purposes.
