About the position

The Human Resources Specialist at United Fashions of Texas - Melrose is responsible for supporting the HR team in various tasks related to employee management throughout their employment lifecycle. This role emphasizes attention to detail and independent problem-solving, making it ideal for self-starters who can manage sensitive information and ensure compliance with employment laws.

Responsibilities

  • Support the HR team with various tasks related to recruitment, onboarding, and terminations.
  • Manage data entry and audit for sensitive employee information.
  • Assist new hires in the pre-boarding and onboarding process to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Initiate changes in the Paylocity HRIS for personnel events such as job changes and salary actions.
  • Track evaluation progress and provide reminders for document completion.
  • Complete employment eligibility documentation including I-9s and E-Verify in a timely manner.
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from employees and supervisors, referring complex matters to appropriate HR contacts.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of related work experience preferred or equivalent education and training.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to handle confidential data with professionalism.
