About the position

The Human Resources Specialist/Talent Acquisition role at Salem Regional Medical Center focuses on developing and implementing effective recruiting, onboarding, and retention strategies. This position is responsible for assessing employee needs and creating sustainable talent acquisition plans, as well as executing employer branding activities and providing consultation on human resource functions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, organize, implement, and maintain recruiting and onboarding functions.
  • Create and execute ongoing retention programs and strategic planning for talent acquisition.
  • Investigate and determine employee needs to establish a sustainable talent acquisition plan.
  • Design and plan employer branding activities.
  • Serve as a consultant regarding human resource functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of three to five years of current experience in Human Resources with an emphasis on talent acquisition.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and legislation.
  • Ability to make sound and unbiased employment decisions.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of employees.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Solid knowledge of basic software applications.

Nice-to-haves

  • PH/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
