About the position

A nation-wide provider of staffing services is seeking a Human Resource professional to support operations in Peoria, IL and the surrounding area. This position is fully in-office-based, Monday-Friday, during standard business hours. The ideal candidate will have a solid mix of HR and Recruiting experience with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced industry. The role requires a proactive approach to managing various HR functions and supporting the recruitment process effectively. The Human Resources Specialist will be responsible for the full cycle of ATS (Application Tracking System) processes, which includes job posting, sourcing candidates, and onboarding new hires. The candidate will be expected to source candidates through various channels, including social media, local networking, and job fairs. Additionally, the role involves conducting the full interview process, which encompasses both phone and in-person interviews, as well as performing reference checks to ensure the best fit for the organization. The position also entails managing the full onboarding process, which includes preparing offer letters, handling employment documentation, and facilitating new hire orientation. The specialist will oversee payroll processes and ensure timely submission, as well as manage unemployment documentation and hearings, termination reports, and disciplinary reporting. Furthermore, the candidate will be responsible for conducting quality assurance audits and generating reports to maintain high standards within the HR department.

Responsibilities

  • Full cycle ATS (Application Tracking System) experience - job posting, sourcing and onboarding.
  • Candidate sourcing through social media, local networking and job fairs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience providing HR, Recruiting and administrative support - preferably at a staffing agency or other high-volume setting.
  • HR Certification is highly preferred.
