About the position

Simply NUC is seeking a Human Resources Specialist to enhance our team and contribute to our organizational culture. The HR Specialist will focus on developing and implementing people processes that drive efficiency and create a positive employee experience. This role involves overseeing day-to-day HR operations, managing recruitment and onboarding, addressing employee relations, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job posting, sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates.
  • Conduct new employee orientations and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed.
  • Develop and implement onboarding processes for new hires.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
  • Assist in resolving employee issues and conflicts by conducting investigations and recommending solutions.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment through employee engagement initiatives.
  • Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance and retirement plans.
  • Coordinate payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Support compensation analysis and benchmarking for fair pay structures.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Assist in developing, updating, and enforcing HR policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.
  • Identify training needs and assist in organizing development programs for employees.
  • Track and report on training progress and employee performance improvement.
  • Prepare regular reports on HR metrics such as employee turnover and recruitment effectiveness.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in an HR generalist or specialist role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, laws, and best practices (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEO).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
