About the position

The Human Resources Specialist will support the accommodation process for U.S. based employees, focusing on requests under the American with Disabilities Act (ADA). This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders including legal, HR business leaders, and leave of absence teams to ensure proper handling of accommodation requests. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the interactive process for employee requests under the American with Disabilities Act including all documentation delivery and receipt.
• Consult with Employee Relations, Benefit Operations, and Legal throughout the process.
• Manage consultations with the people leader to review essential job functions, accommodation requests, and feasibility of accommodation.
• Follow up with employees on documentation from their medical provider.
• Ensure accommodation approvals and denials are properly documented in the case management system.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 3 years of experience in Human Resources or related field
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Experience with ADA compliance and employee relations

Nice-to-haves

• Experience as an ADA Specialist
• Knowledge of payroll and benefits operations
• Proficiency in MS Office
