About the position

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Specialist to join our team at Wrapped N Love Home Care LLC. The role involves administering Human Resources policies and procedures, focusing on recruitment and employee relations. The specialist will ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations while providing support to office staff. This position reports to the Director and requires strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain employee records and assist in internal audits of documentation, as required.
• Present ideas and concepts to a variety of small audiences (e.g. training of caregivers, office co-workers, and prospective employees).
• Create job descriptions and manage job board postings, responses, and candidate interactions.
• Run the new hire orientation session every 2 weeks.
• Handle interviews, make hiring recommendations, and manage onboarding of new staff members.
• Produce new hire report on a monthly basis.
• Assist with guidance and recommendations for staff disciplinary actions and firings.
• Be on-call every 3 weeks.
• Oversee all PTO and sick leave for staff, ensuring compliance with employee policy and guidelines.
• Handle employee terminations, FMLA requests, office staff vacation calendar, and worker's compensation claims.
• Assist with interdepartmental staff issues and communication to keep the company running smoothly.

Requirements

• Experience working in a Human Resources environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office, Paycom, Workday, etc.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team
• Deep familiarity with basic HR policies, US employment laws, and industry best practices
