Responsibilities

• Provide human resources management services to multiple client units in the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research.
• Ensure timely and effective completion of HR activities while complying with relevant guidelines.
• Consult with directors and business managers regarding HR issues affecting their units.
• Maintain communication with stakeholders to keep them informed of HR-related matters.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Previous human resources experience, including client consultation, recruitment, hiring, and position classification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work autonomously with accuracy and discretion.

Nice-to-haves

• Human resources experience in a university setting.
• Experience with UNC Chapel Hill HR systems (e.g., ConnectCarolina, PeopleAdmin, Infoporte, RASR).
• Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification.
