About the position

The Human Resources Specialist at LearnWell plays a crucial role in supporting various HR functions across the organization. This position is dedicated to enhancing the operational excellence of HR processes while ensuring compliance and effective management of employee benefits and payroll. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively within a team and independently manage HR tasks, contributing to the overall mission of supporting students facing behavioral health challenges.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and submits weekly payroll in payroll system, Paycom
• Administers all employee benefit programs such as medical, dental, vision, disability, retirement programs, tuition reimbursements, I-9/e-Verify, short term disability claims, workers compensation and life insurance claims
• Maintains accurate and efficient HR databases with employee information and necessary documentation, including administering new hires, changes, and terminations
• Processes day-to-day HR inquiries and advises in line with the current policies and procedures
• Assists with the management of the employee life cycle: onboarding, offboarding
• Produces informative reports using the HR platforms
• Ensures HR compliance for key items within the HR department
• Completes necessary reporting for employment verifications, unemployment and workers compensation, EEO and other HR compliance as required
• Assists with HR projects company wide as required

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum of 2 years of administrative support experience required, HR strongly preferred
• Payroll and benefits experience strongly preferred
• Meticulous attention to detail and follow-through is a must; performs tasks, even under pressure, with high degree of accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness
• Salesforce and Paycom experience a plus
• Reliable Transportation
