About the position

The Human Resources Specialist will play a crucial role in the Human Capital Management Group within the Human Resources Department at NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV Point Mugu. This position involves interpreting HR concepts and laws, utilizing technology for data management, and providing training and support to management and employees in various HR functional areas.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret HR concepts, laws, regulations, rules, principles, practices in HR functional areas such as employee development, staffing/employment, classification, compensation, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Utilize automated technology to produce documents, charts, graphs, and presentations, and use data management tools to research, organize, and analyze personnel information.
  • Provide briefings/training to management, work groups, or general employee audiences as necessary.
  • Participate on various teams/committees in support of HR initiatives that require training for managers and employees.
  • Provide advice and assistance in HR functional areas such as staffing/employment, classification, compensation, performance management, employee development, and employee relations.
  • Assist hiring managers with recruitment and staffing.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of HR concepts, laws, regulations, and practices in various HR functional areas.
  • Experience in utilizing automated technology for document production and data management.
  • Ability to provide training and briefings to diverse audiences.
  • Experience in participating in HR initiatives and committees.
  • Strong advisory skills in staffing, classification, compensation, and employee relations.
