SMaRT Health & Wellness is seeking a Human Resources Specialist to join our team in Aliso Viejo, California. This part-time position is designed for an individual who is passionate about human resources and has a strong understanding of California's employment laws and regulations. The Human Resources Specialist will play a crucial role in overseeing employee benefits, processing payroll, and ensuring compliance with state regulations. This position is projected to begin in October or November, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic healthcare environment. In this role, the Specialist will act as a liaison between employees, executives, benefits brokers, and the accounting department. The responsibilities will include administering and managing employee benefits programs, processing payroll accurately and in compliance with California state tax and wage laws, and ensuring adherence to employment laws and regulations. The Specialist will also support various HR functions, including employee development programs, recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, and assisting with monthly all-staff meetings and executive support tasks. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, along with a minimum of 2 years of experience in HR, particularly in benefits administration and payroll processing. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities are essential for success in this role.
