About the position

The Human Resources Specialist at Forza Group, Inc. plays a crucial role in leading and supporting various HR functions within a dynamic engineering and industrial construction firm. This position focuses on talent acquisition, employee development, policy enforcement, and compliance, contributing to a positive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

  • Leading full-cycle recruitment efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring top talent for all positions across various departments.
  • Collaborating with team leaders to develop and understand required skills, competencies, and overall team needs.
  • Monitoring and developing training programs, including safety, anti-harassment, and continuing professional development.
  • Facilitating new hire orientation and managing the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition into the company for new hires.
  • Managing Human Resources functions including compensation, benefits administration, employee leave, workers' compensation, and performance recognition initiatives.
  • Facilitating payroll processing by ensuring accurate employee data, leave records and timekeeping, and collaborating with Insperity for timely and correct payments to employees.
  • Conducting background checks and employment verifications, and ensuring all pre-employment screenings are completed.
  • Addressing employment-related inquiries and providing HR support to applicants, employees, and managers on complex issues.
  • Managing the performance evaluation process and providing constructive feedback to support employee development.
  • Leading supervisors in employee relations matters, including disciplinary actions, terminations, and investigations.
  • Reviewing, updating, and implementing policies to ensure compliance with evolving federal, state, and local employment regulations.
  • Staying current with HR trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to drive continuous improvement in talent management and organizational policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of HR experience, with a focus on strategic HR initiatives and program management.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills with the ability to present and engage at all organizational levels.
  • Proven success in interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution capabilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective time management, with the ability to prioritize and meet strict deadlines.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on proactive resolution.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Extensive knowledge of employment laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and reducing legal risk.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe, and HRIS systems, with an eagerness to learn new systems.
