About the position

The HR Specialist at PMX Industries will provide essential administrative, employee, and recruiting support to the organization. This role focuses on maintaining HR systems, ensuring compliance with regulations, and enhancing recruitment strategies to attract a diverse talent pool. The HR Specialist will also assist in performance management and employee training programs, while fostering effective communication within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety rules and policies to protect oneself and others from hazards.
  • Maintain the HRMS database.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to write effective job descriptions.
  • Recommend sourcing strategies to comply with affirmative action guidelines.
  • Generate applicant pools by initiating requisitions for new and vacant positions.
  • Develop strategies to attract and engage applicants.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations during recruitment and hiring processes.
  • Process and review employment applications to evaluate qualifications of applicants.
  • Screen resumes and conduct phone screens to recommend candidates to hiring managers.
  • Coordinate candidate interviews and serve as an administrator for job searches.
  • Attend career fairs to build employer brand and attract candidates.
  • Process, verify, and maintain personnel-related documentation.
  • Assist with the implementation of a performance management system.
  • Record data for employee performance reports and distribute review materials.
  • Coordinate training for employees and manage internal training programs.
  • Support planning and coordination of company-sponsored events and functions.
  • Provide administrative and clerical support for various departments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 1 year clerical and Human Resources experience.
  • A degree in Human Resources or Business Administration is preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of human resources experience with recruitment responsibility.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with applicant tracking systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to provide excellent and timely customer service.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
  • Proven success in building relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
  • High level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Previous high volume recruiting experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with performance management systems.
  • Familiarity with safety and environmental performance in a workplace.
