About the position

The Human Resources Specialist is responsible for creating a positive and engaging work environment that attracts and retains talented team members. This role manages the full lifecycle of recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training initiatives, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires and supporting continuous learning within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the recruitment process including requisitions, postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offers.
  • Develop and improve pre-employment processes, including background checks and reference checks.
  • Plan and execute New Hire Orientation and onboarding programs to ensure a positive experience for new team members.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to create onboarding plans that facilitate new team member integration into their teams.
  • Gather feedback from new team members regarding their onboarding experience and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop initiatives and resources that enhance the onboarding experience and support long-term team member engagement and satisfaction.
  • Manage the exit process, conducting exit interviews and using data to inform retention strategies.
  • Assess learning and development needs of team members through surveys, interviews, and communication with managers.
  • Organize, create, plan, and present various forms of onboarding, orientation, team building, and skills training for team members.
  • Maintain records of training and development activities, attendance, and results of tests and assessments.
  • Coordinate with outside resources to offer training.
  • Assist in HR tasks such as preparing reports and conducting audits.
  • Respond to team member inquiries including within the Human Resources Inbox.
  • Provide support in team member engagement initiatives and assist with HR projects as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in recruitment, onboarding, or HR-related roles.
  • Basic understanding of employment laws and regulations is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment processes and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with candidates and team members.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and basic recruitment-related software.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with managers and colleagues.
