About the position

The Human Resources Specialist at Rutgers University is responsible for administering human resources and academic personnel policies affecting the School of Arts and Sciences (SAS) employees. This role involves managing HR services for a diverse group of staff, faculty, and student workers, ensuring compliance with university policies, and supporting the mission and strategic goals of SAS.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain confidential electronic personnel records and databases.
  • Develop, conduct, and monitor recruitment, hiring, orientation, and disciplinary processes in collaboration with various departments.
  • Assist with the annual salary increment and compensation processes for SAS faculty and staff.
  • Ensure compliance with faculty and staff contractual agreements and university policies.
  • Recommend, deliver, and monitor employee development programs aligned with SAS and university goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources or a related area.

Nice-to-haves
