About the position

The Human Resources Specialist at First Class Air Support LLC plays a crucial role in managing HR functions and supporting employees within the aviation industry. This position involves overseeing daily HR operations, including payroll, recruitment, compliance training, and employee relations, while ensuring adherence to federal and state employment laws.

Responsibilities

  • Run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including payroll, hiring, and interviewing staff.
  • Administer pay, benefits, and enforce company policies and practices.
  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training and work assessments.
  • Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions.
  • Conduct pre-employment and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
  • Administer and execute human resource programs including compensation, benefits, and leave.
  • Manage the FAA Drug & Alcohol program to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors.
  • Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Monitor employee morale and company culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • 3-5 years of human resources experience.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Strong time management skills with a track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

Nice-to-haves
